Proud (and Sad) new F150 owner
Well gentleman, it's been both a joyous week and a sad week all at the same time.
On Tuesday I officially traded in my 2012 Mustang GT Premium for a 2013 XLT F150 Ecoboost w/ Off Road Package, Max Tow, 3.73 Locking Rear Diff, Super Crew w/ 6 1/2 Foot bed.
I loved that Mustang. But, ever since I moved to Colorado it had become more impractical. Especially with winter approaching and the fact that the wife and I just had a kid.
So I started doing some research and deciding what I wanted in a vehicle. I wanted:
The ability to go ANYWHERE
The ability to transport off road toys (mountain bikes, snowmobiles, etc.)
Space for the kid(s) and the wife
Nice interior features (LCD screens, SYNC, etc.)
and most of all, POWER!!!
A crossover and it's adaptive AWD system didn't appeal to me. Plus they're just plain boring to drive. Subaru was a serious consideration but their interior is uninteresting. And let's be honest. I'm a Ford guy. So that definitely ruled out Chevy.
Anyway, with a lot of research and personal contemplation I decided to go with this F150. It took me a while to find the one I wanted but in the end I got a GREAT deal and I must say I'm very happy. Smooth ride, plenty of power and lots of space in the cab. It's a great truck.
And so here I am on an F150 forum site for the first time. Leaving my Mustang forums behind for a time. Perhaps I'll check in every few weeks to see how the new 2015 Mustangs are doing with their IRS and Ecoboost engines.
So it's a sad week for me as I've lost a Mustang. But it's also a happy week as I'm the proud owner of a new F150! Giddy UP.

Welcome to the F150 site, I feel ya about the 'stang, was trying to convince the wife into letting me get a Challenger and finnaly decided to go for a F150 after I could see it was futile arguing it with her.

Can't have it all. I sold My Infiniti G35 coupe 6MT to get my F150, I understand how you feel. It's been 6 weeks since I have my truck and I do not regret the move. I do not miss my G35 anymore. Enjoy your new truck!

Hello and welcome.
You can always rent a Mustang for a day or two when you need a hit.
