Default New Member Building 2013 F150 XLT Ecoboost

Just joined the forum today. A little about me: I live in Denver, CO. I like camping, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain and road biking, backpacking, and stand-up paddle boarding - all with my dog when I possible.

I bought my sterling grey 2013 F150 XLT Supercab with the long bed in February 2017 with about 45k miles. It has the heavy duty payload package and max trailer tow package. My goal is to have an overlanding/camping vehicle. I wanted the long bed so I could build a sleeping platform that would fit me, my wife, and my 100lb dog with storage drawers underneath.

I now have about 62k miles on it. In May 2016, I bought an A.R.E. MX series topper with a walk-in rear door and windoor side windows. This month (May 2017), I bought and had installed Halo Lifts BOSS 0-3" coilovers set at 2.75", Specialty Performance UCAs, BOSS extended length rear shocks, 3" rear tapered block (adding 1.75” of rear height - it replaces the stock 1.25” block), XD Series Rockstar 2 17x9" -12 offset all black wheels, and 285/75R17 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T.

Next up in my build, relatively in the order I'm thinking, is:
- LED headlights and LED foglights (ordered, will try to install in the next week)
- Raptor-style grille (ordered will try to install in the next couple weeks)
- Sleeping platform with drawer storage underneath (still working out the design details)
- RCI Metalworks complete skid plate set (will order and try to install in the next month or so)
- Color-matched Bushwacker pocket style fender flares (will order and try to install in the next month or so)
- Custom fabricated rear bumper with swing away tire carrier and jerry can holder (will order in the next month and have installed when ready)
- Custom fabricated, bed rail-mounted, over-topper and cab roof rack (will order in the next month and have installed when ready)
- Back-up camera (ordered and will install once new rear bumper has been installed)
- Rack-mounted awning (order/install TBD)
- Road shower (order/install TBD)
- 50" Rigid light and multiple, smaller, rack-mounted lights (order/install TBD)

I'm going to start a build thread where I'll post before and after pictures, updates, and reviews. I'll also be posting pictures of my outings and mods on Instagram (@overlandingF150). I'm also going to create a YouTube page where I'll post install videos and reviews. I'll update with the page name when I do.
