Hi everyone, I’m new here. Been spending time in another place that’s based on the engine I have.
2 years ago I traded my 2005 F150 with 287k on the odometer. Still running strong. Needless to say I had the truck for so many years I had no idea of all the new options available now.
I traded for a 2016 F150 super crew and I love my truck. It’s a 3.5 Ecoboost and first thing I had to learn about what I now owned since I never saw anything like it.
I was talking to my son about our F150 trucks and mentioned forums.
Thats when he told me about this site. I wish I would have found it sooner but I’m here now.
I actually have a question about my paint which I’ll start a discussion about when I find the correct place for it.
Any way glad to be here.

I call it my Little Mule.

Thank you. It’s an XLT but the previous owner ordered it new and added more goodie’s.

Oh I’ve already went through the dealership keeping it for a month and a half to replace both exhaust manifolds, turbos, water pump , all the common issues pretty much. The parts are supposed to be upgraded and problems corrected. Over $6,000 bill. Thanks to the Platinum warranty I purchased with the truck my out of polish was $250.
Whatcwas bad was the service. I couldn’t get an update why it was taking so long, When I did speak to someone it was always the same person and a couple of times I was told a different story than last time. The truck looked horrible from sitting there so long and it was obvious where someone spilled something on the hood and swiped it off probably with a shop towel. They replaced the master cylinder I was hoping it wasn’t brake fluid but it cleaned up.
Madter cylinder was a recall.
That was a year ago and it still runs like new with plenty of power. I charge oil under 5,000 miles and use full synthetic that meets all the requirements.
I noticed the other day though it was showing over full on the stick and it’s about time to change it so I’m sending a sample to a lab for testing.
