New F-150 Owner from Southwest Missouri
Hello all,
Glad to be here as a newbie! I'm looking forward to hearing and learning from all of you regarding our trucks!
I took delivery yesterday of a brand new Ingot Silver 2018 F-150 Lariat from my small town Ford dealer. I've been a long-time GM owner (Chevy and GMC - traded in a 2015 Silverado). While I have no complaints about my GM ownership, after almost 15 years of driving a Chevy or GMC it was time for a change. My Lariat is a base Lariat (Equipment Group 500A). I was disappointed as the truck doesn't have remote start or Sync 3 Connect. That was my bad, being used to GM's ways of doing things, I just assumed that Lariat's would have most if not all that as base equipment. I'm getting remote start added from the dealer and I'm checking into getting Smartlink at a later date. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the truck. It has the 5.0 with 3.73 gears. (My brother in law is a lifelong Ford customer. He really dislikes the EcoBoost and I tend to agree.) I really like the way the F-150 handles on curves with the suspension. It's much better than the Chevy. The SuperCrew cab is very roomy compared to the GM and the seats feel more comfortable. I'm a stickler about keeping my vehicles stock and using OEM parts (except for tube steps and tonneau covers, lol.)
Looking forward to being a Ford guy hopefully for years to come.
