Converted Ranger guy
So being a member of other automotive forums I know how important it is to do the intro so here it is. I was a Ranger guy and have built one to a rock crawler but had to sell it because the wife said it was a money pit. Having a mustang, a Harley and no use for my wifes SUV I Recently found it unbearable to be with out a truck and went looking. I picked up a 1985 F150 Sport with a 4.9liter engine and 3 speed manual trans. The truck died and got towed to a buddy's shop about 8 years ago and the owner had just about forgot about it and decided to let it go for $200. The engine was replaced with a reman and has a little less than 1000 miles on it. As I had mentioned it just died and after some troubleshooting I found it was just the coil and after replacing it she fired right up with the help of some starting fluid. Clutch master and slave cylinders were shot but Oreillys had those parts on hand. It is turning out to be a pretty good truck for $200.
