Default new to the site/truck

after several years of driving Rangers (which I have no complaint about) and most recently a Hyundai Elantra (which I could write a book of complaints about), I have moved up in the world and purchased my first F150!
I like a simple vehicle as I appreciate simpler times. I have been bragging this truck up to buddies at work because of stuff it does NOT have. I wanted a V6, stick shift, manual windows, short bed, no sliding rear window, and no extended cab. The guys have been looking at me like I'm nuts
This past weekend I found the truck I have been wanting. Absolutely NONE of the features I did NOT want
I traded a 2001 Hyundai Elantra with 88k miles in on 1997 Ford F150 with 130k miles. Once again everyone thinks I'm nuts.
I could not be happier with my purchase.
I used to love my Rangers, but now I realize I could never go back.

Welcome to the F-150 forum.

I am new also.

Nice and clean truck for 1997. Simple I like also. Good choice.

I have 1996 everything stock on it, no customization.

I like my windows you have to open manually and no one could beat the old wing windows.

love the 4.2 as well. After my test drive I had to pop the hood to make sure it was indeed a v6
