New member, need advice.
What's up?
New member here, going to be picking up a new F-150 in a week or two. Looking to see what you guys think about this deal.
The mileage makes me think it was a demo truck, but notice the tailgate. It has a black decal on the back like it was swapped from another truck that had the special editions graphics package, and the inside of the tailgate has the spray in bed liner in it while the rest of the bed doesn't. Also, this is the only truck I have seen on Auto Trader where the listing doesn't have the KBB rating on it.
Let me know what you guys think!
Also please no buying it out from underneath me while I'm out of the state for work for the next week hahaha

Welcome to the forum, great to have you here. I looked at the truck and it has a build date of 9-11-17, so it's been around for a year and a half. It has the 501a package and the tailgate application has been added on or switched out. MSRP on the sticker of $58,600.00 and they want $51,020.00 with 6577 miles on it and 18 months old. It's listed as new??? Probably driven by one of the managers or a demo and never been licensed, but it's not new. Just my opinion but these type of vehicles have usually have been run hard. Personally I wouldn't even consider this one.

Talked to the sales manager on the phone. This vehicle is apparently what they call an "unwind". If you don't know what that means he explained it as they gave the vehicle to someone and then they weren't able to get the customer financed so they had to take it back. I will definitely proceed with caution and if anything doesn't add up, steer clear. Thanks!

Welcome to the group....maybe you overlooked this, but somebody backed into a pole with that truck. That's why the tailgate has been replaced.....look at the bumper on the driver's side right at the backup sensor

I feel like the dealer could do a little better to get that truck squared away. I really don't feel like it is too much to ask to have the truck have all the parts match and the rear bumper replaced.

Stay away....it may not have been titled but it's not new. Makes you wonder if it was a take back, how long it took for them to get it back and what the "owner" did to it while they had it.
