New Member Looking @ F150's
I currently drive a 2008 Toyota Tundra (I can hear the boo's).
I will be in the market for a new truck soon. I want to have as
much information as possible when it's time to buy.
I will also be joining a Ram Forum as I'm looking at them as well.
In the F150 I looking at the Lariat or King Ranch
SuperCrew Shortbox 3.5 EcoBoost.
Good choice or bad? And why?
Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
BTW this is my current ride.

Welcome to the forum !
Good luck on finding a new truck
As a mechanic..... didn't care for dodges.
I don't like the look of the GMs.
Wouldn't consider an import. (No Offense)
Was going from a Super Duty...
Have a friend of the family that manages a Ford dealer.....
And Pops drives a 13 F150 scab 5.0 2wd.
So my choice was easy, the biggest decision was between 150 or 250
Gas mileage and power won.... lol
Big jump in tech going from an 04 to a 16.
But so far very happy with my choice!

Good luck in finding the right truck !
As a previous ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L hemi owner, I can give you couple of quick pointers.
Individual opinions vary of course... so these are mine, hope it helps.
1. My ram was an amazing truck in the first 6 months of ownership, after which I started to notice small creeks in the centre console, along with 2 dealership visits for check engine light, rear diff recalls and transmission delays. Speaking of transmission, it took my ram a bit too long for my taste to kick into "D" .... f150 kicks into gear more smoothly and quicker.
2. The always hot topic of discusion.... gas consumption. Ram is a gas pig, dont let that engine mgmt system nor the 8 spd tranny fool you ... the best gas milage you get on a ram is driving down a hill. Beyond that, the hemi has immense power off the line ... very addictive along with the exhaust note.
hope that helps
