Default New member but old ford owner

Just thought I would say hi. Recently picked up a used 2008 ford F150 4x4 for use on my ranch.

I got tired of calling my neighbor to come pull my 2000 ford ranger 4x2 out of the mud. lol

Thought I would add to this, My first car was a mid 1970's ford mustang. My second was a late 1970's ford LTD. Both were great cars.

One of the reasons I chose to get a Ford F150 this time was the cost of repairs. I see people post on the forum about expensive repairs and then say it costs $700.
My last 4x4 was a 1993 Isuzu Trooper, it would tare a CV boot every other year. The cost to replace the CV axle was $1500 because it is a 10 hour job for 1 side!
Because of this I did my own work on the trooper, watching a video on a CV replacement on the F150 looks like it is about a 2hr job and a whole lot less trouble!

I guess my grandpa was right, you cant go wrong with a ford.

Welcome to the F-150 boards, glad to have you join.

Any fun performance or visual modifications planned for the truck?

Nothing major. I need to find a way to mount a winch to the front of it, It has a plastic drop in bedliner that I want to replace with a spray in one, and Ill need to reupholster the seats at some point. The seats are not bad but they could be better.

Im not sure what else I could do to it.
