Okay. Got a note asking me to introduce myself so here I am. I've been in the Gen14 forums as I have a 2026 F150 Lariat 4x4 on order. Ford isn't doing anything at all about my order and says there is an issue with the stock 18" aluminum rims. I know Ford has asked for a "tariff waiver" for the aluminum but the gov't has said, "NO!", Nuff said about that...
I currently have a 2013 Fi50 XLT and it's a great truck. Barely turned over 105k on the odometer the other day so there's a lot of like left in the rig. We ordered the '26 on November 29, 2025 and Ford acknowledged the order the next day. Since then it's crickets. My dealer tells me that Ford has said it's the wheels and, if I'm willing to trade up to a new "package" (more money) with 20" wheels it would likely get built. I don't want 20" wheels. I'm old and don't need a "studly" truck. 20" tires are a good $100/each more when replacing them. They ride worse and reduce gas mileage. I want the stock 18" wheels. (I may not get a truck this year due to that issue.)
Anyway... I'm looking for advice regarding an add on rear view camera for my 2013 truck. (The new truck has 360° cameras and hitch assist, etc. but I don't have the dang new truck so... We have a 3k mile trip coming up in late May and were "supposed" to have the new truck for that trip but it's pretty obvious that isn't happening so I need to add a rear camera to assist with hitching our trailer.
Welcome to the forum. I had replaced the head unit in my 05 F-150 XLT that had a hookup for a backup camera, so I got a new tailgate latch that had the camera in the housing & hooked it to the new head unit. As far doing it with a factory radio that unfortunately I cannot help you with.

They can help you out with fitting a camera to the stock system or go aftermarket with it if you want more/different features.
