Default New Guy, old truck

Hey everyone, just traded in an old Ford Ranger for a 2002 XLT FX4 V8 5.4L. Was looking for some answers on an interesting lighting problem I've discovered and found this forum, so I signed up.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you join. You might try posting in the thread for your year of truck and someone should be able to help you with your lighting problems.

Much appreciated! I'm rolling through previous threads and slowly ruling out fixes that have already been posted. Don't wanna open a new thread for an old problem. So far it's going well, making a little bit of progress. I will definitely post up where I'm at and hopefully have some pictures available when I do. Already the forum has helped me isolate the problem from "this damn truck" to "here's some stuff needs fixin!"

So thanks in big part to you guys out there, I was able to fix my lighting issue with a few parts and a whole lotta lectric tape. Long story short, right turn signal on, truck enters disco mode. The fixes were a flasher module, snipping stripping and clipping as well as weather proofing the bare wires from the trailer plug that no longer exists. Also replaced the multi-function switch as well as checking bulbs. I can post up the process in another thread if anyone needs it. I pieced the whole thing together from a bunch of different threads stretching back to 2013 and a Chilton's manual for wiring diagrams.
