Hi All. I am just starting a rebuild on a 87 F150 4x4. Its in really nice shape, a grandfathers truck. It has a 351, c6 and a manual transfer case. The main problem with it is that the motor was "rebuilt" by his nephew between pulls on the crack pipe. Has blow by out the valve cover that is so hot it will burn your hand. Not a good sign. Trying to decide whether to put a 429 in it or a 390. I have a good running 429, a 390 and a 352 in the garage. Ideas or thoughts anyone?

Welcome to the group! If I had all three engines, I believe I would put the 429 in her. Post some pics of your truck :thumbup:
