Hi to the group!
I want to thank all of you for your posts. You made fixing my late father's 86 f150 much easier. Ive been turning wrenches on Fords since I was a kid. It was a way I could connect with Dad when he would work on his cars/trucks. Many is the time I spent standing beside the tool box on the side of said cars/trucks waiting for the order for the next tool order from Pop like a scrub nurse (with only my Dad's legs in view BTW.)
Those orders eventually helped me in math class in converting sixteenths to halves/fifths and so on. I never got the switch from 16ths to metrics - Still struggle with it! Anyway - Thanks again for all of your posts. His/My truck - "Old Blue" (hence the user name) is alive and well thanks to you.
P.S. The thing that fixed the rich mixture and high idle for me on the 302 EFI was replacing the MAP sensor...
