Default New to the Forum from CALI

Hello. New to this forum, but not new to Ford or F150s. Previously owned a 2003 F150 XL (4x2) and a 2008 Explorer XLT (4x4). The wife and I recently purchased a 2016 F150 Lariat 4x4 SCrew cab with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine and we absolutely love it! At first we were just looking for something with decent enough power to pull our 19' sport boat (Explorer did all right), but we also thought that one day we might be pulling an RV in our future - so we got the truck.

The truck is Oxford White, with a 6.5' box, 501A equipment group, FX4 Off Road pkg, Lariat Sports Appearance pkg, 3.55 electronic locking diff, twin panel moon roof, trailer tow pkg, integrated trailer brake control, and tailgate step. This is our first "luxury vehicle" purchase so we didn't mind some extras with the truck.

As an after thought, I probably would have gone with the 502A equipment group but all I really wanted from the 502A options were the Quad Beam LED headlamps, which I believe should have been standard equipment on all the new trucks!

Future upgrades and purchases may include an all weather mats for the inside, upgrade the headlamps (LED or better halogen bulbs), and rear wheel well liners. Considering how very smooth and quiet she rides, we might not do anything with the suspension or wheels. We might consider doing something small to improve engine performance, but we will see.
