New to F150 - New to trucks - New Breed
Greeting to all! New to trucks and Ford F150.
Who said commercials don't work?!?! Have had friends with trucks (all brands) who have always said "I will always own a truck" after their first purchase. After being bombarded with recent year end sales from the big three; Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, of huge discounts and 0% financing options, I decided to look at crew-cab sized trucks to be my daily driver.
Long story short, I decided on a 2018 F150 Crew-Cab King Ranch series with the 3.5 EB engine. Have had it a week and love it so far besides the learning curve of parking in tight spaces due to its sheer size.
About me, I drive a lot for work with an average of about 35k-40k miles per year. I have a family of 4 hence the reason for a four door Crew-Cab option. I don't have a huge need to tow but do so about 2-3 times a year (7000lbs trailer). My last three cars have been Euro brand SUVs (all Audi - Q7).
The F150 King Ranch impressed me! I know there are "purest" here with the idea of trucks should be V8 work horses to be used on dirt roads/woods hauling around a load 24/7 but the industry has catered to a new breed of drivers/buyers. That new breed being trucks being used as daily drivers, more civilized. and targeted for the utility driven buyers like myself.
Even though it's only been one week with the truck and 1000 miles under the belt, it sure has been nice! Looking forward to many more miles of smiles and learning more from folks on this forum.
