hi everyone,
I bought an FX4 a few weeks ago. This site helped me answer questions before the purchase and I'm still using it for some information, so thanks to you for that. This is my first Ford truck. Aside from the Festiva I had in school, all our vehicles and toys were Honda, Toyota and Yamaha. When it came time to replace my 2005 Tacoma (which is built in the States), the choice was Tundra or F-150. The F-150's better gas mileage, along with the option of a 6.5' box with 4 full doors and the year end clearout/employee pricing made me choose the Ford.
I'm quite happy with it so far. It's nice to have all the creature comforts! My Dad, who drives GM, found it smooth and quiet. In addition to what I've added so far (see signature), I've ordered the rear cargo organizer and the fender liners. I've priced a few subwoofers to improve the sound. I've considered a leveling kit, but I think I might skip that. I tried to order the sill protectors but they are backordered. I'm thinking of taping off the area I want to protect and spray it with rocker guard. I also want to seal off the front wheel well to keep the engine clean and to keep the road debris out of the front bumper and fog lamps. I'll be getting it oil sprayed in January (earliest appointment available).
