Thank you.
redfred, I think a 2-Wheel drive version of this truck would be awesome to have, especially with 20's

Default Truck

Well i looked at the FX4 as well but decided against it as i could not justify the cost with the use of a 4 wheel. My truck does have the 20s. How are you liking your ecoboost?

I live in Southern WI, and travel to MN often in the winter. I can definately justify the cost of 4-wheel drive up here. I love the Ecoboost so far. I only have 1000 miles on my truck, mostly short trip daily driver. I have already seen an improvement in MPG from 15.5 to 18.5 average, and the performance is AWESOME! I know some people like the sound of the V8, but I love the silence of the Ecoboost.

Yes in your area you could certainly justify that cost , In southern Oklahoma its a little harder. I drove an ecoboost when shopping for a new one and they are very quite. I also do in fact like the V8 engine sound especially after i installed a K & N air filter, its a little louder but i got it mainly to help the gas mileage which it did a little. After 1600 miles i get a conservative 19.5 to 20.5 mpg on highway at 70 mph and about 18 in town.

with those impressive MPG numbers, I was thinking that you must have some pretty high gears. Very nice!

I will say that the K & N air filter seem to have increased my mileage by roughly about 1 to 1.5 mpg, I am hopeful after 4000 to 5000 miles to get another 1 mpg. the window sticker on my truck said it should get around 15 town and 21 highway. I'm happy overall now with my MPG tho. Time will tell.
