unfortunately I can not return it to the dealer, for me it is a sufficient reason to reject it! we're in the 2018 clack clack clack every half second ...

its not right. The sound is not normal. The dealer is lying. The 5.0 was NOT redesigned and there is no 'gas pump' on top of the engine. Its been aluminum for many years. Take it back there and demand service

Probably means Injection Pump for the Direct Injection which the 2018 5.0 F-150 engine has!!!

Yes you are most likely right but they make no such hammer on steel noises. Wonder if the original poster can post a video?
