Living the F*ckin Dream

Not really, but it's life.

Happy to say hello to everyone here, bought a 92 F150 XLT 6cyl about six months ago. Came here with the idea that I will be needing help with restoring it and don't know anyone that knows anything regarding vehicle repairs. So far I've:

- had the transmission rebuilt
- replaced all four shocks
- replaced water pump
- thermostat housing
- - elbow
- - temp sensor
- and performed general maintenance

There is a long list of needed repairs but you'll find me looking for help in the various subs in effort to verify parts and asking what I'm suppose to do. I've got experience as a mechanic but as it goes I'm no shop foreman. Anyway, it's good to have found such a resourceful place as this, it'll be a pleasure giving help where I can and getting it when I need it

Welcome to the site. Hopefully you weren't in the middle of that hurricane.

Thank you! I'm glad to say I was generally unaffected, I have been asked to dispatch to fix some microwave alignments in the panhandle, hoping that won't happen for a couple weeks.

I still have a long way to go with the truck though, have the parts to rebuild the entent tierod/centerlink assembly but the right tierod end seems large, doesn't fit the adjustment sleeve, both are "OEM" but something isn't right. Next up is rear fuel tank, seems to have taken water, but it's either enough time and no money or money and no time 😂

Welcome to the forum. Just keep plugging along as some of us are doing. I have time galore, well when I'm not riding the bike, and money poor, so parts come at a slow rate. Maybe someday I can afford a newer truck. For now I will keep this one on the road. I spend winters in Florida, I don't like cold snowy weather.
Enjoy the forum and read read read....
