Name’s Jerome. I drive a 2010 F-150 Lariat, 2WD, 5.4L with the 6R80 six-speed — and I’ll be straight with you: I’m new to the world of car mechanics. Real new. But life threw me into the deep end, and I’m learning fast.
I’ve been out of work since April recovering from open heart surgery, and I’m a single dad to an amazing 11-month-old. My truck’s my lifeline to getting back on my feet, so I’ve been under the hood every chance I get — dropping the valve body five or six times, testing solenoids, chasing codes, and slowly piecing together what makes this beast tick.
I’m here to soak up knowledge, share what I’ve learned the hard way, and hopefully get this rig road-ready again. Appreciate any wisdom you all can throw my way.
