Introduction
Hi!
New to the forum. My husband and I own a 2016 F-150 Lariat. So glad there is a F150 community. We live in Harrisburg, PA. My husband is a mechanical engineer and works for TMI. I’m a part-time chaplain for a local hospice. We both retired then went back to work when my husband was called by his old company to come back to work. I went back to work as well with my old company.
I find I get some pretty solid info/advice from all kinds of forums whether it be cell phone, computer etc.
Well, I have a question and would love your input. We have contacted the dealer but sadly they were closed.
My husband was driving home from work when the truck started to violently shake. A large wrench appeared on the display. Then a message saying “Hill Start Assist Disabled”. My husband looked in the Owner’s Manual to see what it might be. No luck. He drove a bit further, the truck started shaking again, the wrench appeared again and then the “check engine” light came on . The manual said it has to do with the emissions.
Has anyone else experienced this? We are scheduled to go camping in three days but will certainly get it into the dealer before we do anything. Hopefully we don’t have to cancel camping, It’s the first and only trip this year and we have had to cancel twice before already.
Your thoughts?
P.S.- This is my first post so if I should do something differently, please let me know.
