Default intro ticking/knocking

Hello everyone. I've been using this forum for tips for a couple years now and finally registered after recent events. My first gen 3.5 started a ticking/knocking noise last week. First I thought it was the cam phaser and timing chain deal, but it is persistent even when the engine is warm. The more I read and watch videos the more I'm wondering if it's something like a piston or a wrist pin. Going to get it looked at with the dealership here in a couple weeks. I've had this thing for about 3 years now with 90k when I got it and pushing 140k now. A lot of towing the family camper around as well. This thing has been a work horse for me, but I'm wondering if this will be the dreaded time to get a new engine. I'll try to get a video of the sound up and will post an update when I find out more.
