Default Howdy to the group!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the add. I inherited my grandfather's 1986 F-150. It's the 4.9L with a four-speed stick. It sat for several years before I got it. The carb was totally gummed up, the side fuel tank was leaking and the steering lock actuator broke while I was working on it. I enjoy working on the truck with my son and I'm putting on a reman carb this weekend. So far, only one "you've gotta be kidding me" moment, and that was when the actuator broke. Other than that, I can't wait to teach my son and daughter how to drive a stick!

Thanks! I can't wait to get it running. I got an email today that my new carb is on the way.

Howdy and welcome. I also inherited my grandfather's truck (1972 F100) that is in the middle of being restored. Can't wait for my kids to drive it!
