Howdy fron SE Tx.
Just took delivery of a 2012 Screw Ecoboost. Damnest vehicle i have ever set foot in! Wife & I went to purchase another GMC and after test driving a loaded 4 door were less than pleased with interior quality and the power of the 5.3. Next we tried a Dodge Hemi Quad cab, ran like a spotted assed ape but the interior looks like it came from Kmart. Went to the Ford dealer and tried an XLT Screw with a 5.0. Interior quality and cab roominess were far superior to the previous two trucks. Wife wanted a more plush interior, so the salesman got us a Lariat Ecoboost. Truck is Platinum white, 20" wheels, black leather, 355 locker and more doo-dads than I can list. Rolled out on Hwy 59 and mashed the fun pedal to the floor and I was sold! Got 9k off sticker, 1500 more in trade on our Mustang than I had anticipated and the whole transaction was smooth and pleasant. Only have about 450 miles on it but have average 19.6 mpg so far. I have been a dyed in the wool GMC guy for many years and still have a Yukon XL but Ford has come a looooooong way in their F series trucks. I also have an 08 F150 5.4 Scab that is a work truck. Frankly the quality of the 12 is so superior to the 08 that it's hard to believe they were built by the same manufacturer,
