I bought a PA speaker (like a mini megaphone) to put under the hood, then run into the cab to my CB. I know this should be simple to run the wire, but my mechanical knowledge is limited. I have a 97 f150 4.6 V8.

Where do I run the wire, and how do I get to that spot under the hood?

 

Run the wire through your firewall... if you look there should already be wires running through.. just put your new wire through the same hole and run it up under the dash to where ever you need to..

 

Shouldn't be hard to find an access hole in the firewall somewhere. Just look inside the cab at the firewall and see what you can find.

 

There is a good spot below the brake booster to the left. Its under and back a little bit. I used it and it got me in above the gas pedal.

 

i also ran mine through the firewall right near the gas pedal

 

I used that hole under my booster to run my CB cables. It will prob have a black rubber plug in it.
