New F150 owner
I've been lurking for a while and finally started posting. Got a new 2013 XLT 302a, 5.0, screw, bucket seats, 4x4 offroad package, rubber floor mats, about a month ago. Got it for about $33k before TTL. Would have loved an FX4, but out of my price range.
Traded in a 99 Explorer Sport with 218k and a burnt out transmission (the drive shaft was in the trunk). Didn't get anything for it, but got the $1,500 trade allowance rebate, so that was more than I could sell it for.
One week after I had it, I swapped the chrome grill for a color matched FX4 grill. After that I swapped the chrome tow hooks for black ones and got the bed Line-Xed. Here's some pics:

Ha I actually was set on the Ecoboost, but the local dealer had this one on the lot with everything else I wanted. Don't regret the 5.0 at all though. It's a huge improvement in power and mileage from the Explorer. The Explorer had 4.10 gears and got about 14mpg highway. I'm averaging over 19mpg with this truck (city & highway) and I don't really tow any more than my 4 wheeler on a small utility trailer.

Welcome from SoCal. Your first Fx mods were perfect. I'm not a big chrome guy and it seems all of the big 3 thought chrome was the way to go on the front ends. Everybody has their own taste but I like the clean look you have. Good motor choice.
