Hi. I love my truck.
Hello from Alaska. Southcentral to be slightly more specific.
Bought a 2008 F-150 XL in March for my birthday. When I bought it; it had 11,363.7 miles. It now has almost 17K miles. it's a 4.2L V6 manual 2wd. I love it. I'm still breaking it in.
Before my F-150 I had a 1993 Ford Ranger 2.3L 2wd Manual. it was pretty awesome, it died shortly before 400K miles on the original engine. I had only had it for year. I did a lot of work on it. engine, interior, and body work. Wish I could have kept it and worked on it, but I don't have a garage or my own tools yet so my turbo diesel ranger dream will have to wait.
I have a few plans for my new Ford. Such as:
4 inch suspension lift
if I can squeeze it in there I want 6 straight pipes coming off the head. (did that with 4 pipes on an acura integra and it was sooo sick.)
basic little things like speakers, 10inch sub, tinting.
I'd like to get some nicer non-stock rims and slap some MT/R Kevlars on there. Not sure what size I want yet. And some blizaks for winter time. (Alaska... have to have 2 full sets of tires... ugh)
So far on my multipule drives to and from Anchorage to Fairbanks I've dented the drivers side door.... a shoulder gave out on a gravel drive way, if the tree wasn't there to catch my truck, I would have rolled it and died.
And the second dent is a nice scratch down the passenger side, accidently love tapping a gaurd rail.
Anywho, Yes I am a girl. I work on my own truck. My boyfriend drive a big lifted truck, it's a frankestien truck. The tires are 4.5 feet tall. It's monster. I'm also Alaska Native and so is my boyfriend. We're Inupiaq Eskimo and both of our familys are from the same village.
Guess that's all for now.

Unique & Different
Hi. Welcome to the Forum. Awesome to know another female knows how to work on her own vehicle. I use to do diesel mechanic work myself, before driving 18 wheelers cross country. Enjoy your new truck. I absolutely love my F150.
