Hey everyone

Hello everyone. My names Brandyn, I live in Western Mass and have been restoring a '96 F-150 XL 4x4 4.9L I6 I bought for $800 with 291,000 since January. I also own a 1995 Mustang and 2002 Mustang. I've always loved trucks and decided it was time to stop having to take on the New England winters in my Mustangs. I've only ever owned those two mustangs, bought the '95 5 years ago when I was 16.

My F-150 has a bit of an interesting story, I bought it from my uncle (who's a mechanic) who bought it from one of his long time customers. My uncle was going to pull and sell the engine and tranny that he had rebuilt and installed himself 25,000 miles ago and scrap the rest. Once I list what I have done to the truck you'll see why.

- It leaked gas, coolant, engine oil, power steering fluid, and brake fluid.
-Bed was completely shot and I scrapped it
-Both fenders rotten through
-Radiator support shot
-Frame between the suspension and motor mount was completely broken in half
- Fuel injectors were original (owner cheaped out when he swapped for the rebuilt motor)
- Large hole under the drivers feet
-Headlights were so yellow they were usless
- Decent amount of rust on the bottoms of both doors
-Front gas tank leaked
-Rear fuel pump needed to be replaced
-Fuel lines to the rear tank sprayed large amounts of fuel
-Headlight switch was bad
-The paint was faded 38 different colors
-Needed valve cover gasket
-Needed idler pulley
-2 front tires
-Front shocks
-Neither door locked
-Dash pad is very cracked
And probably another 20 things I cant even remember

But It did have a motor and tranny with only 25,000 miles on them, 90% of the brake lines had been replaced, the rear tank was new and the front fuel pump was new. Leaf springs and shackles were new. And the truck actually ran/runs great.

So I am finally in the final stages of restoring it, I sand blasted and coated the frame, painted it, wood bed is nearly done, I really just need tires.

Here's a horrible picture but you guys will get the idea.
