Hello< new guy here who needs help!
Hey guys and gals I am a brand new member who has some questions but am not really sure how or should I say where to post some questions. Thanks for taking the time to read this, looking forward on getting some answers and hopefully I may be able to answer some questions and lend a hand also! I have a 1993 f150 xlt extended cab 2 door 4x4, has been sitting for 4 years and I wanna get it back on the road. After dealing with alot of brake problems (which I hope i have sorted out) I am looking for some opinions out. The truck has 72k miles on it, I have owned it since having 12k on it. The steering has been loose since I got it, I could turn the steering wheel from 12 o'clock position to three o'clock or 9 o'clock without the wheels turning at all, I know there is a procedure for tightening it some but I never got around to doing it. Since starting to get it road ready, not even starting it and just turning the wheel a few times to work on brakes, fluid is pouring from the pitman arm seal. Was gonna pull the box and replace the seals, I have never done this , does it sound worth it or shoukld I just replace unit with a refurbished one? I don't have the money atm to buy a new one so I am looking for some opinions. Opinions on if doing seals on it is worth it if it sounds to worn and if rebuilt ones are worth buying. I am sorry if this is not the place to make a post like this I am a forum noob. Thanks in advance username is ddc1993 ,I am Dan from Philadelphia PA.
