Default First Truck Ever! 2017 Sport with 3.5 L Ecoboost & 10-Speed

I am 70 and this is the first truck I've owned. Previously I was borrowing a Dodge Dakota that was underpowered for the towing I do. I got the 2017 XLT Sport with extended cab in silver. Has towing package and large gas tank.
It has the 3.5 L. Ecoboost engine and the ten-speed tranny, towing package and 4X4. I pull a 14 foot Featherlite trailer carrying a 2,800 pound Subaru STi road race car, and all the support stuff.
So far, with 400 miles (and no towing yet) I am mightily impressed! So luxurious, quiet and powerful. Not quite a Bimmer but then my 440 isn't going to tow anything...
I got the trailer backup assist going rather easily and it seems like it will be helpful.
Edit: Trailer hookup is a dream! I can easily do it myself without assistance on the first try!

Ingot silver almost looks white in certain lighting situations.

Nice lookin truck!

I too am still shocked by all of the power this little V6 makes. The quiet cab was definitely not expected either.

Towed for the first time. Towing weight is 4,260 or just under and bed had about 300 pounds in it. Almost forgot I was towing at times! Sometimes it shifted into 10th gear for a while but mostly I was driving in hilly areas where it mostly liked eighth or ninth gear. I always stayed at or 10 over speed limit. No sweat.
Pegs limiter in a flash when empty and not towing! Almost kept up with a BMW M3 for a short burst from 70.

Nice!

I haven't towed with mine yet, but it sure does move pretty good by itself!

[QUOTE=Stage3Motorsports;5494485... What part of the country are you doing your road racing in?[/QUOTE]
New England, so far. I love Watkins Glen but my new love is Club Motorsports in New Hampshire. Tomorrow I leave for two days on the track or about three hours of racing. I've been down to New Jersey Motorsports Park a few times and I want to get down to VIR.
Actually Austin is near my birthplace so COTA is on my bucket list. I used to race SCCA in the Texas Region when a young squirt. Now, retired, I just play with a ST1 NASA level Subaru. 470 at the wheels. Them be 285 Hoosiers. I like turbos!

Default Intermittent hesitation or lag in accelerating

I posted this elsewhere in 2.7 Ecoboost issues so far, and am not getting any nibbles, so I thought I'd expand my search.
I am on the verge of going in for my first oil change and I want to get them to look into my mysterious hesitation issue. The last time it was close to full of 87 octane gas, it was fully warmed up but 30 degrees outside. It hesitated probably a full second several times and seemed to do it more as I took a slow 90 degree turn. Other than that, it's not very predictable when and where and under what conditions it will do this brief stall when I ask it to accelerate. It is not doing this from a dead stop, but when I'm going 20, 30 or 40 and push on the pedal...

It has done it from day one, in September, when it was not cold. If it didn't hesitate when going straight I would have thought the nanny safety controls were kicking in as I try to accelerate around a corner. It may be doing that too! It seems rather sluggish when I try to accelerate out of a corner with the tiniest bit of G's.
Now, I'm used to turbocharged sports cars, which have little lag, but this seems very wrong and it's also intermittent.
