Default First Ford, Coming Over from a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro

Hey All,
Great to meet you and looking forward to being an active part of this forum!! As the title says, I'm a new Ford 150 owner and a first Ford owner at that. I am coming over from a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro (Manual) that was a whole other story that I'll get into later. (Spoiler: it involves lemons, multiple transmission replacements on a 2016, Toyota Corp crashing it on a test drive and 6 months in a Corolla rental car... not a fun saga.) Long story short, my wife and I now have a new 4 month old and the baby seat + our dog just didn't work in the back seat anymore. The Taco just doesn't "baby" and that was a HUGE bummer because the TRD Pro in a stick shift really was an amazing off-road beast and I'd just gotten it outfitted with a few personal extras to qualify as the truck that I'd truly hoped for when we first bought the other original truck in 2016.

Fast forward to this past weekend and what you see below is our new 2018 F150 and I honestly couldn't be happier. The thing is a freaking beast size-wise, and there is no problem fitting the pup and the kiddo in the back in his seat together... plus about 5 other people! We got the 3.5 Ecoboost and it really is a rocket... I have a co-worker here in Boulder who drives a 2017 Raptor, and my thought is that we can both GO just as fast while I just fit in a parking spot better.

Herein lies my first question for this forum (and I assure you, there will be many... just check out my posts and contributions on Tacoworld.net!)... I got the FX4 package mainly because that was what the dealer had on the lot in the color and feature set I wanted. Anything really "offroad" I'll add myself at some point. It comes with the 20" Dark Tarnished wheels and 275/55 r20 Dynapro ATMs. Based on my previous experience with the Taco, this thing will be spending a lot of time off road and I'll be upgrading to someone else's '17 Raptor takeoffs... but that is AFTER I get my wife comfortable with our new upgrade and the Ford sitting in the driveway.

Can anyone comment on how the 20" factory wheels have held up on VERY moderate trails with the stock Hankook's on them? I won't be doing anything crazy at all (especially with a 4-month old in the backseat), but I also want to feel like I'll get a year or so out of the factory setup without them being super puncture-prone or flat-happy. I don't care about marring the rims so long as we are having fun, I just don't want to get a pinch flat at the first little rock or what not. The sidewalls look decent, the tread moderate and I don't think I'll be trying to trail-run a Civic Si... or at least I hope!

I searched the forum a bit before I posted this and didn't find much on the stock rubber on the stock rims off road, and was just curious if anyone has any initial impressions. A 20" wheel is obviously not what I'd be using for any really fun trail stuff, just hoping to hear that folks have been ok on more than just a gravel road.

Thoughts?

Thanks so much for the feedback and looking forward to connecting with you all on this new forum!
