Thumbs up A Fightin' Texas Aggie Just Joined!

Howdy all,

I'm in my second year of college at A&M. Over the summer I lost my father, and so my uncle has decided to step in and help us out. My uncle told me how much he liked his F-150's (he goes through a lot of trucks), and said I should get one. Sitting in my driveway is a 2014 XLT, bought it used from a local dealer. The previous owner took very good care of it, as it looks brand new. I hope by joining this forum I can learn how to keep on taking care of it just like he did. Just like boots and blue jeans, I assume if you treat it right, that truck will last a long time.

Welcome to the site. I've got a question for you (not related to your truck), I started watching US College football about 3 years ago, up here I see many games with Texas A&M but can't figure out what an 'Aggie' is...can you explain what that means to me?

What is an Aggie?

An Aggie is a student at Texas A&M. In the early 1900s, Texas A&M students were referred to as "Farmers." The term Aggie began to be used in the 1920s, and in 1949, when the yearbook changed its name from The Longhorn to Aggieland, Aggie became the official student body nickname.

Thank you for the welcome, and thank you digital trucker for the explanation! I am not as active on the computer as I used to be. Yeah, I've already got that truck decked out with A&M stickers, you'll find no shortage of pride here!

Also thank y'all others for the warm welcomes.
