A/C not cold enough
I've got a 1994 F250 5.8 2WD.Recently I had to repair the a/c system.Did everything by the book. Repaired a/c systems in the past and have never ran into this problem. I replaced the compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube. I even had to replace the condensor. Put in the correct amount of freon and oil. Now it will only get down to around 70 degrees when it used to pull down as far as 32 degrees. My dad's F150 pulls down to 40 degrees within a mile, and that's with the outside temps in the high 90's.I was told the doors in the duct work was sticking or broke, and they work perfectly.Everything seems perfect, but the temp will not drop below 70 degrees in the middle of the day.I even threw a part at it by swapping out the selector switch in the control head.It has vacuum and electrical connections, and I was told they are what usually fails. I'm at a loss this time around.Does anyone have any suggestions of things I can check?A big thanks ahead of time for any help.
