But, hell, that's neat that you all like US cars. I figured you all were on that "greeny" trip over across the pond So, we got some Europeans in the F150 Family. Cool.

Oh, nice ride there too How do you all get parts and stuff for "foriegn" made trucks, just curious
There are a lot of internetshops who ship parts to Europe, if we are lucky its here in about one week. There are also a few mecanics around here, who work on US cars and trucks. I try to do as much as possible myself ,like oil change and little repair issues to reduce the costs.

Thanks for my English but yours seems to be pretty good too .
I used to live and study in Southern California. But unfortunatly, because of my job, I haven't been there for such a long time.. I miss it.

Here's a picture of my truck:

It's a 2007 model, 5.4L XLT
I haven't changed the wheels and tires yet, but I'm about to do it.
BTY, if some of you know about leveling kit, could you go check that thread (https://www.f150forum.com/f4/leveling-kit-47420/) and give me your opinion.

Roush, do you know the town that truck will be shipped to? If it's around my area (Marseille), I'll go see it.

I'm from the west side not that far from the sea , about 25 miles.
My truck is a 2005 FX4 and I love it .

Man, that's cool as hell. We have a shop in our area for European cars strictly. The dealerships are all in Houston, Texas, and we are an hour from there so the business services all the BMW, MB, Audi, and VW's in our area. Well, it's good to hear ya'll do have a support network in Europe.

BTW, You and Jeff do have good english skills, more so than some of the kids on here that feel the need to type like they are texting their buddies on a cell phone. Wish I new another language. My twin brother is pretty fluent in Russian (cyrillic), but not me unfortunately.

Enjoy those F150's, I have owned three and a Ford Bronco, all have been wonderful trucks with proper maintenance. I'll go out on a limb and say that the Chevy and Dodge trucks I owned were just as good as the Fords I owned, but I really gotta watch out with that cussing on this forum (Dodge and Chevy and Toyota are cuss words on here)

JJ, your HQ (La Rochelle) is located half way north/south, on the Atlantic cost. It's about 8-10 hours from my place.

I love this thread, because you guys in the US, Burt in Belgium and me in France are all big fan of the same truck. And we find out that we're all related some how by friends, trips, job, studies, etc. That's really cool.

Like Burt we also have some specialized mecanics around and I think internet is the best way to get spare parts (Burt, which one do you use?).

JJ, BigredXLt, I appreciate your comment about our English. Thx...oops thank you.;-)

Jeff:

Thanks for the spelling lesson! I barely learned to speak a few words - clearly didn't learn to spell them!

Quick funny story - on my 2nd visit to France in 1990, I was to be a guest of Malcolm Forbes at their chateau in Balleroy. Along the way I was to spend the night in Caen. My travel agent here in the states (CA at the time) booked me a room in Cannes! You can imagine the laughs all around when I showed up at a similarly named hotel in Caen, thinking I had a reservation - only to find they were waiting to roll out the welcome mat in Cannes!

As a balloonist I've always hoped to visit and fly the event in Lorraine - your truck would be great for chase there. Maybe someday. Meanwhile if you find yourself in Louisiana, the crawfish, beer and balloon ride are on me!!

Hi Smokin Lariat,

That's a funny story... And to be the guest of the Forbes family is very impressive!
I heard about that balloon event. It seems to be pretty good. A lot of balloon from all around the globe.

Well, if you ever have the chance to come back to France, let me know, it'll be a pleasure for me to meet you.
I had the chance to travel trough a lot of differents states in the US, but not yet to Lousiana. Which I regret. So if I ever do it, I'll let you now.
