In my new 2018 you can turn that useless feature off....BUT once you shut the truck off and turn it back on it defaults back to auto stop. Stupid stupid feature!
This is not a do or die situation for me. I can turn it off manually if I have to. I was only trying out this option to turn off the Auto Start/Stop feature.
I saw on a YouTube video a way to disable the Stop/Start feature using a trailer connection tester. I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't work for me. Anybody else tried this? I need some help.
I can confirm that this doesn't work at least on the 2018 F-150. The only modification that I'm aware of to disable the Auto Start/Stop feature is in the included YouTube video.
