Auto Stop / Start
How does everyone feel about the auto stop/start on the 2018 models? It's new to me and want to get a gouge on how everyone thinks about it.

At the moment, I've no issue with it. But once the Arizona summer kicks in, not going to like it. I'd like to have it disabled, maybe as a dealer flash or something. I can live without it.

Thanks 1sharphook. I searched prior to posting but most of the threads were pretty old. Worst case I waisted a few seconds of your time. My apologies.
Did you have an opinion on the auto stop/start function?

I dont mind it when it not blazing hot out. Turning down the a.c. in summer is not ideal.

So far I don't mind the engine cutting off at stop lights. I did notice the HVAC issue but can't expect it to run off the battery...
After 500 miles with the morning temp being ~25 - 30 degrees, it hasn't been a big deal.
You can control it with pedal pressure. If you don't want the engine to cut off, don't press the brake all the way at a stop. It seems to take about 50% of pedal travel to engage the function. Easy on the brakes and the engine runs all the time.

It is seriously one of the stupidest things Ford has ever put in a truck....
annoying as heck and no way to disable it unless you push the button on the dash.
I have seen where you can use a jumper on the switch but that involves too much hassle.

Doesn't bother me at stop lights but it seems like it engages at the worst times. For example, when waiting to pull out of a parking lot onto the street. Doesn't seem unsafe, but just weird.
I do like it when I'm stuck in traffic. Good to know I'm not waisting money running the motor while sitting still.
