AC not blowing cold air
Hey everyone,
New to the site. Glad to join. I have a 2007 Ford f150. My AC suddenly quit blowing cold air. The AC clutch is engaging so the compressor seems to be working. Fuses are fine. Any suggestions?

You have developed a refrigerant leak probably. With engine running and AC on Maximum does the AC line under the hood get cold? If it does you have a problem with the controls. If it isn't very cold you have a low PSI problem with the compressor. It wont take long to ruin the compressor with out coolant and the lubricant in it. You can pick up a can of refrigerant kit and refil the system if you wish to try. Wear PPE as it is dangerous to your eyes. Follow directions and make sure to hook up to the low psi side to recharge it. If not take it to your refrigeration man.

Is the clutch engaging and disengaging rapidly or semi rapidly because it has two sencors on it a low side sencor and high side sencor if it overheats it will trip the high side sencor wich means your condensor is plugged up eather in front or behind of radiator if its low on charge your low side sencor will cut the ac pump off to keep it from burning up. You should never have to recharge a system if you do theres a leak its a sealed system so try to find the leak instead of just recharging it. hope this helps a little
