Default 2016 Chevy Silverado S-Cab to a 2018 F-150 XLT FX4 S-Crew...

Jake here. Former 2002 Mustang GT and 2003 Ford Lightning owner who went rogue to MOPAR with a 2011 Green With Envy Challenger SRT8 after a 2006 Blue Ram 1500 Hemi Sport Crew along the way. I finally paid off my SRT8 for my fun ride, and my 2016 Silverado Z71 lease is almost up. Time to make a jump.

I test drove a Lightning Blue 2018 5.0 V8 XLT with the Sport appearance and FX4 package today. Amazing truck! I wanted to bounce the numbers off existing owners to get a gauge on reality. They won't go a cent lower than $39,783. I'm pushing for $37K since it's end of year time. It doesn't have the tailgate step, but I'm guessing an aftermarket step would suffice. Any input on the numbers is appreciated. He says it's already down to his cost. Is there any more wiggle room or have I bottomed out?

Numbers and Options
MSRP $51,910
Palm Coast Savings $5,377

3.55 E-Lock RR Axle
7000lb GVWR Hitch

All I would say is try another dealer and have them compete against that price to see what they can do. Then vice versa.

From looking at what you have i'd say that's as low as your going to get. You might be able to get a couple of hundred more out of them, but I don't see a lot more. You could put dealerships against each other however you'll risk could risk losing it all together especially if it's "The One". It could be a gamble especially if someone else is eyeballing it for a Christmas present. I bought mine used and shopped for months for the exact one that had everything that I wanted. When it came on the lot, i put a hold on it and it was mine.
