Default 2009 hazard lights problem

My stock 2009 F150 has a new thing, and I'm hoping someone else ran into this. My hazard lights will start flashing throughout the day (and night) for no apparent reason. The truck will be parked behind my home, unlocked without the key in it. Next thing you know the hazard lights will be flashing. Not the same time every day, but sometimes a few times a day. Not every day (but just about). I go out to the truck and press the "hazard" button, and they shut off.

I purchased this truck about 12 years ago. The truck is stock. No power locks. No power windows. No key fob (got to use the key to unlock the door, like the old days). I had the battery checked, and it's fine.

I should say that I don't believe it's done this when the truck is locked (when I'm at work). The employee at O'Reilly's guessed it's something to do with the security system (which again would be stock - whatever came with the truck).
I appreciate any help from this forum - so I don't have to pay a local mechanic to guess at it (which would cost me $$$).

Thanks!

Did you find a resolution? My 2009 is doing the same thing.

Thanks
