2006 Lariat First Post

I've been a member for several months and have enjoyed the vast threads for help with my truck. I'm talking mainly about the dreaded spark plug change on my 2006!

My truck is a 2006 SCrew Lariat and the only upgrade at the moment is a Flowmaster American Thunder 40 series exhaust. I also have a Ham Radio installed if that counts!

This last week I bought a 5K pound travel trailer and after loading it with water and gear it was probably in the 6K pound range. After towing it to a campsite in Wyoming I realized I need more upgrading! the 6K foot elevation here in Cheyenne is already putting my truck's performance at a disadvantage. Throw in the campsite at 8K feet and it wasn't fun on steep hills. It would pull but the steeper hill took the wind and speed out of the trip!

So with that experience I ordered and have a JLT intake with XCal programmer on a UPS truck bound for Wyoming now and can't wait to install them to see what performance and better towing I get out of them. I'll work on posting all my experiences and hope it helps others.

This is the only pic I have from when I brought the trailer home. This makes me realize I need more action shots of my truck!
