1st Ford owner
I suppose I should have done a member introduction when I registered for these forums.
Alright, this 2006 Ford F-150 XLT supercab 5.4L 3 valve is the first Ford I've personally owned (Parents did own a Ford Fairlane Stationwagon back in the late 80's). I bought it at the end of June 2009 with 22,296 miles up in Oklahoma City at Joe Cooper Ford (bad idea, because I had to pay Texas sales tax separately). Very reliable and had zero problems with it. It is now coming up on 100,000 miles and I am going to do a whole bunch of fix before it breaks preventative maintenance work on it, such as (have the parts, just need the time off to do it):
Timing set with cast iron tensioners and oil pump (all Melling parts)
Radiator flush and fill with new thermostat (CarQuest) and hoses (Gates)
new serpentine belt (Dayco), pulleys and tensioner (Gates)
new rear pinion seal (since it is leaking) (Timken)
Might replace the following as well
water pump and fan clutch, FPDM, TPS
My previous vehicle was a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix SE with the 3.1L V-6 with 58,000 when purchased in 2002 and 100,000 miles when traded in for the truck. It was an ok vehicle and engine ran well. Dexcool liked to eat seals on the radiator cap. needed a new master cylinder when the piston went out and the only braking I'd get is none or all at once with the pedal at the floor. (This occurred about 1-2 years before I traded it in for my truck)

Though, Comp Cams does have stage 1 cams that produce more torque in the low RPM's and it doesn't require a spring upgrade (operating range is 800-5000RPM). However, they cost $700+
