Sorry not you but acdii. I just have an opinion on the subject and I guess its a strong one. I had a Corvette guy tell me how many coats of Zaino he had on his car, it was something like 30. I thought what did the last 28 coats do that the first two didn't. I just see people sweating this stuff when if you get a decent product, wax your car or truck a couple times a year, you will probably be happy. I think Zaino is a good product, just over priced. Now I see these new high priced coatings, some of which the dealer tries to sell you and wonder if its just over priced Zaino, and its not cheap.

Depends on how the paint is to begin with. The scratch remover, I think Z5 does remove minor swirls, and two coats is recommended as you could easily miss a spot with just one, Z2 is the final finish and used either by itself on a brand new paint, or on top of Z5. The Z6 in between the coats is more to get the residue off than anything else, but also uses the same chemicals as in the polish so it helps to seal and bond. I found that I can do so many cars with a single bottle of each that the cost is minimal for the end result. I still have one Z2 from my original purchase back in the 90's, has one more coat left in it.

My 2014 was Tuxedo Black, and I went to town on it first chance I had. 2 coats of Black light, followed by 2 of Z2, then Clear Seal, and thats how I found it was difficult to use, you have to put it on extremely thin, or it streaks, and you don't wipe or buff it out. I got some on the windshield and it cause terrible glare, and was a royal PITA to get off the glass. However, after nearly two years, the paint was still slick, still had nice sparkle to the metallic, and cleaned up easily. The picture I posted of it was late summer a year+ after doing it, and had been washed about 4 days earlier and driven 480 miles. Only thing I did during that time was a quick wipe down occasionally with either Z6 or V07.

Since trying AIO though, that is the only one I will be using from now on, that on top of Black Light seems to make the Ruby Red really stand out, and the surface is slick like teflon. I did one coat of each. I use V07 as a wipe down occasionally.

Only reason I asked about Jet Seal, Zaino came out with a Clear Seal, and I found it to be not such a great product, it was difficult to use, and don't ever get it on glass.

Ceramic Nano coatings is a different product all on its own, and it does what it says, it protects the paint and lasts several years, but it is expensive, and if the paint is not perfect, it will stay that way unless you strip the coating off, which I heard is a royal pain. You can buy it and DIY, and the costs are not that high, some start around $60, and have good reviews. I might consider it on my next truck, but will arrange to have it done as soon as I get it, and not through the dealer, but a rep company, which I have found a few around here.

One thing I found with Zano is their products aren't very aggresive. In other words if you want a little cleaning ability with there product, it doesn't have much. I tried the Z AIO product and didn't like it because the water hardly beaded afterwords. I've kind of setteled on their Z5 for my Challenger. Its a 2010 Classis and has fairly large black side stripes. I waxed it once with regular wax and that was a huge mistake, it almost highlighted them with a white residue around the edges. I'm not sure what the mystic is with Zano and the Corvette guys, do they stick a free bottle in the glove box when you buy one?

I can't answer that about the vette dudes. I did try multiple coats on a pure black car, and I could see no difference between coat 2 and coat 6, so stopped there.
Their products aren't really for cleaning, just protecting and highlighting. You have to start with a clean finish, or you will get poor results. If the paint is dull to start with, it will still be dull afterwards.

I want to go with a Ceramic coat next time, I just don't have the drive anymore to go through this process all the time. I'll let a pro shop do the correction and seal.

I have switched to getting Chemical Guys products now, and have tried several of their polishing products, the ones that are used for paint correction, as opposed to the Zaino "polish". They do a nice job getting marks out of the paint, and are easy to use. They also sell Ceramic coatings, so if I do it myself, I may just get it from them. Their the ones who sell Jet Seal, and why I started this thread, to find out if anyone has used it and the results.

I brought into Zaino for my Mustang in the late 90s.... I'm now forty and have no time for that stuff. I pretty much wash and wax my Mustang every time I drive it (few times a year ) with chemical guys products... Haven't really clayed my car in 5 or 6 years and it's still buttery soft. For my truck ive only clayed it, applied a couple coats of jetseal and some wax. Maybe when I retire I'll get back on my old car care habits.

I see that CG came out with a new wax, http://www.chemicalguys.com/Hybrid_V...p/wac80716.htm

May give it a try next year. Been using the V7 soap and spray for a few years now, and they do an excellent job.
