Unless it's a black dye or paint, any restorer will work. Think of really thick armor all. That's all the stuff really is.

Most of what people will recommend here will last for a few weeks at best. If you are looking for a true restoration that requires a dye, as the carbon black in the plastic has reacted with UV and is gone, hence the grey color.

What is your long term thinking on this?

Cheers,
GREG

That was not stated nor implied, too bad you took it that way. You can look back at previous post and see I like to help not break people down.

Default Well said, Greg

What a classy response! I have always appreciated your input Greg.
And to Summers, maybe switch to de-caf?

Happy New Year to all!

Greg's response wasn't insulting, merely stated that most "solutions" are temporary. Permanent restoration requires dye or paint. I painted the wheel lip moldings on my '06 with good success. However a close friend distributes Wipe New here in the States and I'm shocked to see how well, and long, that stuff lasts. Good for about a year in most cases. I personally haven't used it.

If you want a multi year treatment I would use this product.

What products are available that will prevent the trim pieces from turning grey?

Thanks to all and Happy New Year!
