I do know someone makes a product that will take waterspots of with a little elbow grease. unfortuanatly i can't remember what its called. you might be able to have a detail shop tell you what it is if you ask real nice. some parts stores even carry it. if i remember what its called i'll let you know.

here is a cheap way to prevent water spots....use a little bit of "jet dry" in your washing water. it is made to use in dishwashers to prevent spots... i have used it and it does a pretty good job.

Lime Away will take them off. Thats what our window washer told me and it worked. What I do now when I wash the trucks is rinse the windows with filtered water.

I have the same problem because my sprinkler system gets my truck wet because it won't fit in the garage. I use vinegar. Lime a way will work as well, but it is a much stronger acid (phosphoric vs Acetic in vinegar). I'd be careful about getting it on anything besides the windows.
A water softener will cut down on spotting, but most water softeners aren't hooked up to the hose spigots outside. I've been wanting to try the Mr Clean car wash with the filter, my neighbor swears by it.

Believe it or not, that's exactly what I use to wash my truck with. I think it works great on my black truck.
