Default Tire cleaner PVD Safe?

Looking for a good tire cleaner that is safe for PVD wheels? Made the mistake many yrs ago of spraying the wrong cleaner on custom wheels, really want to avoid repeating that life lesson again if possible. Thanks

The only thing I've ever used is soap and water. I wouldn't take a chance on spraying anything on a PVD wheel. Too many people have had problems ruining their wheels with spray cleaners.

Happen to be in a major ford dealer prep shop yesterday and asked the same question? The guy replies " we use the acid just don't let it sit on them very long" I about died! Glad I didn't buy my ride from there! As I walked through there was a brand new tricked out Shelby in the bay with a sold sticker on the window.

I've never had issues when cleaning tires with diluted Simple Green and getting the obvious overspray on paint/wheels.

I wash wheels/tires first then clean the paint so that the Simple Green doesn't linger on the paint.

My guess is Soap and Water and Simple Green would be ok.
I have had good luck with Adam's Tire and Rubber Cleaner
HOWEVER, I do NOT know if it is PVD safe.
I'd call 'em and ask. 1 (866) 965-0400
