You can try using Meguairs Swirl x and Ultimate Compound for enthusiast or for pro M105 and M205. But be sure the paint is well prep before doing any polish. Make sure to wash and clay it. For protection. Try Klasse Twin.

Go over to autogeek and search around. Awesome site. Without seeing what type of damge you want to correct its had to prescribe a solution. Also I don't know how hard or soft the F150 paint is. I'm sure there are guys/gals that have worked with this paint before.

You don't want to take off any more then you have to. Meaning to use the minimal amount of cut to get results.
Also putting on the coats of carnuba wax will realistically only last a few weeks. Then your paint has zero protection again. I would HIGHLY suggest doing a sealant then you can top it with a wax if thats the look you like. A sealant lasts at least 6 months. Some good ones will do a year. And yes you can wax over the top of them anytime I use Zaino and like it a lot! But there are other great ones out there as well.

Can only buy direct. http://www.zainostore.com/

I used Zaino PC to correct my white f150 with my porter PC and white pads. Basically to test it out for my black minivan. I then used it on my black mini van and it finished up perfectly. Easy to work with. Go check it out on their site. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...oduct_Count=20

I followed that up with their Z5 and Z2
Mini van is now 2 years old and 30K miles. I like this stuff because it produces a deep deep wet shine. Even my wife noticed it and asked what I did to the car. Also it lasts I usually do mine every 6 months, just the Z5 and Z2. And it is always beading up perfect. I have gone over 10 months once and it was still beading up great! My parents car I do about once a year and it still beads but you can tell its breaking down.

Did this on my old maxima as well. 3 yrs old and 45K miles

It finally got nice here in Michigan and here are my results.I'm very happy with it. It's really hard to get a white car to "pop" but it looks good and it scratch free and clean.

I used:
Wash with iron-x and man this stuff stinks but it worked nicely. Made claying so much faster.
Clayed the truck.
Buffed with PC with Ultimate compound then deep Crystal polish.
Waxed with 2 coats of maguires gold class carnuba.

What make/model PC do you have?

For a PC newbie I might suggest...

Wash, Iron-X, clay, rinse, dry then...
Megs Ultimate Compound with LC orange
Megs Ultimate Polish with Lake Country white
APC wipe down to clean the paint

Then (I like shiny for white) Zaino Z-2 and/or Collinite 845

IMHO Meguiars makes some excellent compound & polishes...
but they are a bit weak in the Last Step Products (LSP) dept.

Skip the Dawn. Ford says not to use that stuff. I did in an attempt to get some really hard Collinite off. It didn't work anyway (although it might temporarily break the surface tension and stop beading).

Do a clay bar even if you use the Iron-X.

Polish--you mean like with abrasives? I'm a conservative. I say use abrasives as a last resort with the least aggressive grit that works. If you think it needs that, I'd start with an all-in-one first, like the two-part Duragloss thing, unless the need for a more aggressive polish is obvious.

Don't forget to get the undercarriage really well so as to get off any salt lingering under there.

I don't believe in 'detailing' an engine, but Ford does encourage cleaning once in a while check the manual.
