If you just used a wax then I'd wait 2-3 weeks for the wax to wear off. Then do a Dawn car wash to strip off any remaining wax.

Dawn is very alkaline. Almost all waxes and sealants can and will be removed with a two bucket Dawn (original blue) car wash.

This is the recommended procedure that is suggested by Sal Zaino before applying Zaino Z-2 or Z-2 with ZFX to your paint finish.

I just used The two bucket method to wash the truck and Clayed the entire truck afterwards then I Used meguiars deep crystal wax and used the meguiars spray detailer afterwards

I ordered my machine and all pads from the link you sent a few days ago so I'm working on getting that mirror/wet/glossy look to my paint

Your gonna love the results...

You can't do by hand what you can accomplish with a machine!

I use the Kevin Brown Method with a DA to obtain excellent glossy results.

Thumbs up Gman

Spring is a good time to use some elboe grease and put on your favorite wax. The rest of the year , everyother wash I go over my truck with Rain X or Miguires Fast Wax seems to keep that great 1st wax job looking good the rest of the year. It's easy, cheap, and looks great.

I use Liquid Glass.
It goes on easy and buffs off easy. Not only can you put it on in direct sunlight, they recommend it.
Prior to first use, I go over the vehicle with a clay bar then start putting on layers of liquid glass.
One caveat: this stuff is pricey!

Here's a bunch of user reviews for you:

In comparison Liquid Glass is not all that pricey.

There are many many many waxes and sealants.

Rule: Waxes last 2-3 weeks. Sealants 3-4 months.

My personal favorite is Blackfire Wet Diamond AFPP
For a real deep unique look follow with Midnight Sun
Layering these two is known as "Wet Ice Over Fire".

Pricey?...This wax is pricey and some cost even more!
