Default Reach across roof

Short people, How is the best way to reach the roof to wash and detail the top, and to reach across windshield?

I use a step ladder for hood and windshield. Open the door for the roof and also use the bed for the back half of the roof. Didn't need a step for my 4wd GMC, which is at a proper ride height.

How the hell does a short person get **** in the bed?

My F150 has the tailgate step, makes it easy, On other trucks I would step up on the trailer hitch ball, then onto the bumper and over the tailgate. It worked easier than it sounds.

I picked up something like this from the local Menards.

It works great for the windshield, roof and tonneau cover.

So between a short stepladder / step stool as pictured, I can mostly reach most of the roof with a microfiber cloth. The middle is still tough, though; a wash-mitt-on-pole type deal works great for washing, but I'm struggling to come up with a good solution for drying.

Anyone come across any sort of rig that basically extends your reach with your drying towels?

That one that flowpro pictured above... I bet you could use it as a "push stick" for drying towels. The towels should stick to it pretty good
