This ^^ Black Ice is the best! If you follow the instructions on the back, it should last at least 3-4 weeks. Just don't tear the whole plastic wrap entirely.

But the best long term air freshener is to keep your interior clean and maintain it accordingly. This would keep away any unwanted odours for sure.

I use the Yankee candle leather car scents, they typically last about a month or so.

My truck's previous owner was a smoker. The first thing I did was change the cabin air filter. Then I tried air fresheners, that didn't help much. I tried the Biocide deodorizer that puts chlorine dioxide in your vehicle overnight. Twice. Nothing really took care of the problem until I took it to a professional and they used an ozone generator. Cost $50 but took care of the problem completely. One hundred percent. You would never know anyone had ever smoked in it before. Money well spent.

Hey Arrow;
Glad you discovered the ozone generator. Does the trick every time and $50 is very reasonable. I owned my own detail business for many years and did many vehicles with the generator.
Once a car/truck/whatever has been smoked in, it can be next to impossible to get the stench out.
Sounds like your guy did it the right way. Engine running and HVAC on high/recirculate. Most folk don't know that the smell hides within the ductwork. All the shampoo and "fufu juice" in the world won't get it out.
Glad it worked for you!

I read chemical guys have a " new car" and " leather" set that smell good but mixed reviews on length of time they last.

Just looking for some feedback. Don't want the ones that go in air vents. Want something I can throw under the seat or a spray.
I've had good results with CarPro SkysBlu Car Perfume - Nice clean smell
Yes, it clips on the vent but you can clip it under the seat - lasts over a month!

That you're aware of. Mine doesn't smell like anything to me either, but I know anybody else would get a massive waft of black ice and pure steel when they open the door.

I use Ozium. Let it get sucked into the vent/AC system on recirc.
