I took away this quote as making the most sense on that Meguiar's link....
"Remember, this hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need therapy"

I just used Collinite for the first time this weekend and am very impressed so far. Very easy to apply and take off with great shine. Will see how it holds up!
Whoever posted on here to put it in a cup of warm water, great idea. Made it much easier.

Collinite 845 also works great on my cell phone's Otterbox screen. I've been cleaning/waxing it every couple of weeks for quite awhile now and love it.
It worked great on the truck and car too.

Wow, just stumbling on to this thread. I've never heard of the Collinite 845 but I think I better snag some off Amazon for my ruby red. Thanks fellas.

Ordered a bottle this morning. If this stuff is better than Auto Glym wax, it must be REALLY good. My brother-in-law gave me an Auto Glym kit a couple years ago and that stuff is amazing. He found it in a WalMart clearance basket. I looked online and found that it usually costs about $75! I use it on my bike, wife's vehicle, and my new F150.

You'll like it. Just set it in a pan of hot water and it will liquefy and turn clear. Then is just a matter of applying a very thin layer. Can wipe it off almost immediately.
The Collinite will not repair or remove any blemishes or spots. The paint must be prepared first.

I appreciate the info.
I'm told that I have more polishes, waxes, conditioners, scratch removers, etc than is healthy. Adding one more seemed natural. I'm a tad **** about keeping the vehicles looking brand new inside and out.
Before I sold my beloved '89 Bronco II, I was assured that only roaches and that dashboard would survive nuclear war.
